I walked into a realtor's to buy myself a home.

The woman at the counter told me it would be awful to live alone.

My eyes fell down to the floor, my hands began to numb.

My days started taking an awful turn, the colors began to dim.

My heart was feeling shattered and my legs were just so weak.

My life a boring story book that no one dared to read.

I walked into a police station to report a violent crime,

The policeman at the entrance told me to stand at the end of the line.

My hands were bleeding thick, red blood, my arms were burning pain.

My eyes, again, drooping to the floor, I've lost my way.

I cleared out the leaves and sticks in the gutters on my eves.

I lost my balance, the latter tipped but you caught me before I fell.

I thank you now, I thanked you then you may of saved my life.

And I can still dream and can still think, alone in my own mind.
