Hi.

I am Nick! I am from Littleton, Colorado and I write software for computers. I’m the guy who makes things work on websites.  My life has been continually getting better and better and I’ve been learning so much about myself and the things that I love.

I’ve been building computers since 4th grade and I’ve been writing software since 6th grade. I compiled my first java app when I was 10 and have been mostly working with web based programming languages (PHP, CGI, ASP, etc) since Middle School. I’ve worked on many different projects but I feel like a lot of the really exciting ones are still to come.

From May 5th, 2007 until June 21st, 2007 I lived and worked in Kenya & Tanzania with my friend Carol Carper. We helped organize medical camps with UC Davis from California and looked for potential water projects for Rotary to engage in. The medical camp that was conducted was in the Kisii Area of Kenya and in 7 days we saw over 6,000 patients.

Since I returned I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out my life and I am just about there. Life is so full of mysteries that I feel like there will always be a challenge to overcome and something new to learn every day.

I’m now a freelance developer working with many small and big companies. I’m also working on projects with several employees from my old employer and we are really just having fun with technology.

I consider my current favorite code to write to be data mining, scraping and automation. It’s amazing what you can do with 10 lines of code these days. I’m also working with some digital writing & epoetry in my spare time.
